1- All work performed must meet the 2018 IBC and 2018 IMC standards and abide by the City of Frisco’s Zoning ordinance, and all other City ordinances.
2- All duct work to be sealed with mastic, welds, or gaskets; tapes are not allowed.
3- All exhaust to terminate outside of the building. pressure equalization is required for all exhaust systems (see IMC 501.3).
4- Electrical rooms are required to be ventilated (see NEC 110.13b and IMC chapter 4).
5- Mech. Professional designer and contractor to be responsible for load calculations and duct sizing (see IMC section 312 and section 603.2). all calculations will be subject to request for plan review.
6- Mech. Professional designer to verify ventilation rates on the submitted prints (see IMC section 403 and amendments 08-01-11).
7- Mech. installation to comply with the current Frisco amendments of the IMC and IECC.
8- Rigid duct is required for all HVAC applications. a 6 ft (R-6) flex duct connector is allowed between rigid duct and ceiling diffusers.
9- Smoke detectors and f/s dampers to be installed per IMC (see sections 606-607) and IBC (see section 716, 1017 see City amendments, and 909).
