Please note changes in ordinance
• There must be a minimum twelve (12) inch clearance between any fill material and the bottom of the double check valve to allow for testing and repair
• All sod and landscape must be installed.
• Operational rain and freeze shut off devices capable of setting thresholds for rain and freeze at forty (40) degrees (only ones approved are RainBird WR2, Toro TWRFS, Irritrol RFS1000 and Hunter Rain Clik. NO OTHERS)
• Rain and freeze sensors must be in full sun above any overhang and does not get hit by sprinklers
• Must have accurate zone chart at controller for inspection
• Controller must have name, address and license number for irrigator
• Must have permit packet at the controller that includes backflow report and redlined plan for homeowner
• Micro climate extends from brick to brick on side yards
• No heads from front or back yard allowed on side yard
• No spray to rotor zone used as head to head coverage
• All commercial turf heads must be pressure regulated heads.
• Each backflow device must be located no more than three (3) feet from the water meter
• A master valve must be located within twelve (12) inches of the backflow prevention device
• Parkway areas within ten (10) feet from the curb must have either drip irrigation or high efficiency, low precipitation nozzles
• No single stream rotors allowed in front yard unless approved by the city.
• Any slope greater than 4:1 ratio must be irrigated by drip irrigation
• Turf areas eight (8) feet or wider must have heads spraying back to achieve head to head coverage
• A separate zone dedicated to foundation watering must be installed
• All areas designed with drip irrigation must include pressure compensating non-draining emitters and a 120-mesh filter
• All commercial backflow locations must be identified by using GPS and the coordinates written on the backflow report submitted to the city.
• Pressure regulator with a minimum low flow of 0.5 gpm and high flow of at least 18 gpm must be installed on main line and visible upon inspection. (Residential only)
