Engineering Comments:
1. Design should comply with the 2009 International Building Code (IBC) not the 2006 IBC
2. Include definition of “compacted fill” in details for soil beneath the walls and behind the walls, such that it may be verified by observation in the field.
3. Specify how the additional wall height will be connected to the existing wall on details
4. All section details should include the statement “no voids” when specifying mortared zones.
