Arbor & Fireplace
1- All work performed must meet the 2018 IRC standards and abide by the City of Frisco comprehensive Zoning Ordinance, and all other city Ordinances.
2- Need a flatwork inspection before the pour.
3- Outside of post cannot encroach the 10' rear yard setback allowed for open air arbor with open top roof, up to three foot over-hang is allowed.
4- No electrical or plumbing permit requested or issued.
5- Fireplace, fire pit, outdoor kitchen (bbq grill, sink, etc) not requested or permitted.
6- Lag bolt must penetrate main house stud min 1 ½" and slats should be a distance apart equal to the width of the slat.
7- May not intrude on side yard setbacks.
Grill
2- Venting and flue must meet manufacturers specifications. Must maintain clearances per R1001.11 2015 IRC.
3- Chimney must maintain a minimum of 2' clearance (excluding spark arrestor) in height within a 10' radius of chimney.
4- Footer thickness 12" min & width 6" each side of fireplace wall.
5- 100% masonry structure, no greater than 8 ft may encroach into the rear yard up to 10 ft from property line.
6- May not intrude on side yard setback. Exception: May encroach up to 7 ft on corner lots.
7- A gasoline pressure test is required when adding gas to an outdoor fireplace.
8- Subject to field inspection approval. Call (972) 292-5386 for an inspection.
9- City of Frisco approval is not in lieu of homeowner association HOA requirements. Reference HOA bylaws for subdivision requirements.
