THESE ARE GENERAL NOTES; ITEMS CAN BE VERIFIED IN THE FIELD.
1. INTERIOR TRIM; MATERIALS, OTHER THAN FOAM PLASTICS USED AS TRIM SHALL HAVE A MIN CLASS C FLAME SPREAD (76-200) & SMOKE-DEVELOPED INDEX (0-450) PER ASTM E-84.
2. COMBUSTIBLE TRIM, EXCLUDING HANDRAILS & GUARDRAILDS, SHALL NOT EXCEED 10 PERCENT OF THE AGGREGATE WALL OR CEILING AREA IN WHICH IT IS LOCATED.( NFPA 701)
3. ALL PARTS OF THE BLDG ENVELOPE MUST MATCH OR EXCEED THE MIN. INSULATION REQUIREMENTS OF IECC, WITH R-13 FOR WALLS, R-19 FOR ROOF.
4.THE FACE OF AN EXIT SIGN ILLUMINATED FROM AN EXTERNAL SOURCE SHALL HAVE AN INTENSITY OF NOT LESS THAN 5 FOOT- CANDLES (54 LUX) & SHALL BE ILLUMINATED AT ALL TIMES & FOR NOT LESS THAN 90 MINUTES IN THE EVENT OF PRIMARY POWER LOSS USING BATTERIES OR GENERATORS.
8. ANY DUCT PENETRATIONS THRU DEMISING WALLS SHALL HAVE FIRE/SMOKE DAMPERS INSTALLED.
11. TEMPERED WINDOWS/GLASS WHERE APPLICABLE.
12. DEMISING WALLS SHALL BE RATED A MINUMIN OF 1 HR. FIRE SMOKE CONSTRUCTION PER ASTM-C754 SPICIFICATIONS AND ALL PENETRATIONS THRU DEMISING WALLS SHALL BE FIRE CAULKED FLOOR TO ROOF DECK.
13. METAL STUD WALLS SHALL NOT PENETRATE THRU ROOF DECKING, LATERAL BRACING REQUIRED. (DO NOT ANCHOR PARTITIONS STUDS TO CLG GRID SYSTEM. STUDS MUST BE OVER CLG HEIGHT & BRACED MAX 4'-0" O/C TO STRUCT'L BLDG FRAMING (ABOVE CLG). PROVIDE GYP BOARD J TRIMS AT BOTTOM & TOP OF WALLS AS REQ'D.)
14. MILLWORK TO MEET TAS REQUIREMENTS.
15. RATED WALL ENDING AT THE STOREFRONT MUST PROVIDE 1 HR FIRE/SMOKE CONNECTION TO THE NEAREST MULLION OR PILASTER.
16. PANIC HARDWARE REQUIRED ON ALL EGRESS PATH LATCHING DOORS.
17. SUBJECT TO M.E.P. REVIEWS, FIRE MARSHAL AND FIELD INSPECTIONS.
